Low blood pressure or hypotension is a condition, which unlike hypertension has some noticeable symptoms.It is present when our blood pressure levels are below the “normal” treshold. Pregnancy. Pregnant women suffer of a natural drop of low blood pressure, because their circulatory system is expanding. This happens mostly during the first 24 weeks of pregnancy.

Heart problems. When you suffer from heart failure, heart valve problems and heart attack, you have low blood pressure levels as they prevent the heart from pumping enough blood to the organs.

Dehydration. One of the biggest causes of low blood pressure, one can lose water in many forms such as excessive sweating, vomiting and diarrhea. You need to re-hydrate yourself to keep a good volume of blood in the body.

Loss of blood. A loss of blood can be caused by an accident or trauma. The less amount of blood, the less pressure there is.

Septicemia.Septicemia is a severe infection. Once and infection enters the blood, the blood pressure levels can drop suddenly. This could be fatal.

Endocrine problems. We have to mention that hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism are involved in lowering blood pressure levels.

Vitamin Deficiency.To be more exact, vtiamin B12 deficiency.Lack of vitamin B12 can cause anemia and subsequently, hypotension.

Allergic Reaction. Anaphylaxis is the name of the allergy that can drop our blood pressure levels. It is triggered by certain foods, venoms, latex, and medication.
