How To Reduce Your Blood Pressure Naturally
Friday, October 17th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedIf you suffer from high blood pressure, you obviously need to do something about it.
But does that mean that you’re condemned to taking pills and potions for the rest of your life?
It may surprise you but the answer to that question is acually “no”.
Fortunately there are some natural ways that you can use to reduce your blood pressure without popping all sorts of pills.
As a first step, if you are normally stressed out then it’s highly recommended that you investigate a program to reduce the stress you’re suffering from. Personally, I recommend meditating to reduce your stress levels - it’s simple and has been scientifically shown to help reduce stress.
Then, take a look at your diet. If you’re always snacking and eating fast food then changing your diet should be high up on your priority list. If you’re one of the many people who aren’t yet eating at least 5 portions of fruit and vegetables on a daily basis, modify your eating habits. And don’t just think that devouring a packet of potato chips counts as one your vegetable portions! Plus, although drinking juice is easier, you’ll get more benefit from eating the actual fruit or vegetable - raw or cooked.
Cut down on your salt intake. Do this gradually, so you won’t notice it as much. If your salt intake is too high, that’s not good. But beware the trap some people fall into of buying a lower salt option and then sprinkling more salt over it! If the products you buy have a nutrition label, remember that salt can also be referred to as sodium but the figure for this is around half the actual salt in the product.
Cut down on life’s “pleasures” such as coffee, alcohol and smoking. You don’t necessarily have to give these up completely - unless your doctor has told you to - but it’s definitely worth cutting them down.
Get hold of a specific program to reduce your blood pressure such as this one.
